Our Vision

Knowing Christ and Making Him Known

What we see is a multitude of people everywhere intimately knowing Christ and diligently making Him known.

Our Mission

To let Christ be formed in us, walking faithfully with God and working together to make disciples of Jesus Christ through the preaching and teaching of the whole counsel of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Values

Out of the many values we uphold as a local church, we wish to be known for Honour, to be Excelling in Love, for Loyalty, and for Fortitude (HELF).

HONOUR is a show of great respect especially in public. We as the LWCI family want to be much more intentional about the way we honour God and people.

Malachi 1:6-8 ESV
“A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honour? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. But you say, ‘How have we despised your name?’ By offering polluted food upon my altar. But you say, ‘How have we polluted you?’ By saying that the Lord‘s table may be despised. When you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that not evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that not evil? Present that to your governor; will he accept you or show you favour? says the Lord of hosts.

1 Peter 2:17 NIV
Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

The excellence of love cannot be overemphasised. The God we serve is love. Therefore we are especially committed to EXCELLING in LOVE for God and for all people.

Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

1 John 4:7-12 ESV
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

LOYALTY implies a faithfulness or devotion that is steadfast even in the face of any temptation to renounce, desert, or betray. We especially desire to be loyal to God and in His service.

1 Chronicles 28:9 NKJV
“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2 NKJV
1 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

FORTITUDE is the strength of mind and heart that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage. Fortitude, then, may be biblically defined as that strength to courageously endure adversity, temptation, and spiritual assault, which the Lord graciously supplies by His Spirit and through the promises of His Word. We want to be known for Fortitude.

Psalm 112:6-8 ESV
6 For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered forever.
7 He is not afraid of bad news;
his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is steady;[a] he will not be afraid,
until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.

Matthew 7:24-25 ESV
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 ESV
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
